Terms of Service

Effective: 2 October 2026

These Terms govern your use of Oathis, a Discord verification service that can use Google OAuth and YouTube API Services to check configured YouTube subscription and video-like requirements.

1. Using Oathis

You may use Oathis only in accordance with applicable law, Discord's rules, Google's applicable terms and policies, YouTube's applicable terms and policies, and these Terms. You must not attempt to interfere with, abuse, overload, or circumvent Oathis's verification or security mechanisms.

2. YouTube API Services

Oathis uses YouTube API Services. By using Oathis features that interact with YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Google authorization

YouTube verification requires you to voluntarily authorize read-only access through Google OAuth. You may decline authorization, but Oathis will then be unable to verify requirements that depend on your authorized YouTube account. You can revoke Oathis's Google access at any time through your Google Account.

4. Verification results

Oathis checks the requirements configured by the relevant Discord server at the time of verification. A successful result may cause that server's configured Discord role to be granted. Oathis does not guarantee that a server will keep the same requirements, role configuration, or access rules indefinitely.

Oathis does not reliably verify whether a video was watched. Video links may be presented to users, but viewing a video is not treated as a verifiable requirement.

5. Server administrators

Discord server administrators are responsible for the requirements they configure, the roles they grant, and how they use Oathis within their communities. Oathis does not control independent server rules or moderation decisions.

6. Availability and changes

Oathis may be changed, suspended, limited, or discontinued at any time. Features can depend on third-party services such as Discord, Google, and YouTube, whose availability and APIs are outside Oathis's control.

7. No warranty

Oathis is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. No guarantee is made that every verification attempt will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

8. Privacy

The Oathis Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored, shared, and deleted, including information obtained through Google OAuth and YouTube API Services.

9. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when Oathis changes. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
